Preface

My wife was a biology student during her high school time and always wanted to be Doctor. But because of her family's financial situation, she could not pursue it. However, I must say that I have never seen her diagnose any disease wrongly till date, which shows her deep interest and knowledge in the topic. 

On some days, we have this conversation where she says that a doctor can never marry an engineer and I always ask why. She says that an engineer will never be able to understand a doctor's work-life balance and work schedules. I think the exact opposite; I feel that a doctor will never understand an engineer because an engineer at least knows that a doctor is working late or getting called at 2 a.m. to save someone's life. But a doctor will never understand why an engineer is on call till 1 a.m. when it's not a life-death situation 😊

I decided to collect data...you know, as a data science student, I should have numbers or stories to prove my point. I started talking (and still am) to many couples where one's an engineer and the other one a doctor to understand if there is indeed a gap.

But I'm realising that both my wife and I are wrong. These couples are not just able to understand each other's work requirements but are also happy with each other. Few of the stories really touched me personally because their love for them was beyond their profession. My blog is all about sharing those stories with all of you.
